🚷 Assaults


Lagos : Armed hoodlums who claimed to be supporters of the President Bola Tinubu’s government on Tuesday harassed and assaulted journalists concerning the ongoing #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests in Lagos State.


Advisory : Increase security measures to protect journalists during protests. Assign police escorts to media personnel to ensure their safety. Reinforce the importance of press freedom and the role of journalists in democratic societies through public campaigns.

Federal Capital Territory : The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Kemi Nanna Nandap, announced on Tuesday, August 6, at a joint press conference with service chiefs and security agency heads at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, that the agency is monitoring individuals in the diaspora who are sponsoring protests advocating for an undemocratic change of government.


Advisory : Ensure that all actions taken to monitor and address foreign-sponsored protests comply with national and international legal standards. Engage with diaspora communities to understand their concerns and seek constructive solutions through dialogue rather than surveillance and intimidation.
